The property is located in a quiet and upscale, residential neighborhood of Clearwater North Beach, just a mile away from vibrant Clearwater Beach and its public beach life. Sit on the patio of '32 Steps to the Beach' with a glass of wine or a book and enjoy the beautiful beach views and stunning sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.

This two home non-smoking retreat has a fully furnished, well equipped house with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open kitchen and tastefully decorated living/dining area with a sofa sleeper. You will enjoy the nice patio with its beach views and tropical landscapping. The separate cottage is a tropical efficiency with an open floor plan. It offers a kitchen, a small dining area, a sleeping and a sitting area with a queen bed and a sofa sleeper, a bathroom and a separate outside sitting area in a lush tropical backyard.

The house and cottage can be BOOKED TOGETHER OR SEPARATELY and are the perfect place for families, family get togethers or romantic get-aways. It is NOT SUITABLE FOR SPRINGBREAKERS or any group that wants an environment that allows loud parties.

THE AWARD-WINING GULF BEACH IS ONLY 32 STEPS AWAY! Grill, TVs, cable, WIFI, multiple driveways for parking, beautiful landscaping. Walk to shopping, dining or island attractions. Take the public trolley around the island or go as far south as Treasure Island!

NOTE: Since the house and cottage can be rented separately as well, the availability calendar will not be up-to-date. Please contact us for current availability.

Check-in is 4:00pm or later; check-out is promptly at 10:00am to leave time for cleaning crew.

IMPORTANT: We do not advertise on Craigslist! Be safe and only deal with the owner.

COVID-19
Pinellas County is open for short term vacation rentals with guidelines that we are following in full.

We take the safety of our guest and cleaning staff extremely seriously. Our cleaning crews are using sanitizer and disinfectant on all surfaces before your arrival and as cleaning is taking longer than previously it is unlikely that we can offer early check-ins or late checkouts. Our houses have well equipped kitchens and we believe that separate units are the best option for vacationing in the time of Covid-19.

Florida is seeing an increase in cases at the moment and we stress the importance of guests taking travel insurance that would cover them in the event that they no longer want to travel to Florida. In the event that the administration halts vacation rentals we would of course refund guests as we could no longer accept them. We have to stress that after two months of cancellations and re-bookings we will not be able to offer refunds if Clearwater Beach remains open for vacation rentals but guests decide not to travel.

House Rules

We are happy to have you as our guests and hope you enjoy your stay at 32 Steps to the Beach'! However, we ask you to help by respecting and caring for our home and observing our House Rules.

1. NO SMOKING in the home at any time. If you smoke outside please put all butts in the container and not around the yard.

2. Please do NOT sit on the couch, beds, or chairs with wet clothing, or with lotion, oil, sand or chlorine on your skin.

3. Please wipe your sandy or wet feet before walking in the house.

4. Do NOT dispose of sanitary towels, tampons, Kleenex, paper towels, baby diapers in the toilets - take to garbage! We will have to charge you the plumbing costs.

5. Please keep the house clean and tidy during your stay.

6. The spa is heated. Please remember to turn the spa heater 'OFF' when you are done using it. The spa is serviced twice a week.

7. Please do NOT take glass of any kind in the spa. If glass breaks in the spa, you or the next guests can cut themselves.

8. Children are to be supervised by the tenants at all times in the spa area.

9. Please clean up outside grill area after using to avoid attracting bugs.

10. Garbage pickup and recycle day is on Thursdays. Garbage and trash must be bagged and placed in the appropriate trash container (large black container located outside). Place the container on the curb with the black arrow facing the street, on late Wednesdays (not before 7pm) as pick up is early A.M. the next morning. Remove container from street back to the property on the same day as collection. Recycling is encouraged; please use the blue bin located outside for it. Don't put any garbage bags in the recycling container!

11. Clearwater Beach is a barrier island; during a storm, the electricity may go out for short periods of time. This is normal. There are flashlights in the house. We ask that children do not use them as toys so that the batteries will be fresh in case you need to use the lights.

12. We know accidents happen, so if you or a guest breaks something or causes any damage, please be honest and notify us immediately of any damage, breakage or malfunction.

13. There is NO parking on the street or the grass. You have to park your vehicles at the property (garage or parking space in front of garage). Please lock your cars.

14. We accept one small dog (under 25lbs). Some exceptions may be made please contact owner. All Dogs must be on a leash AT ALL TIMES when outside of the house. Clean up after your pet, both on and off property.

15. Please be courteous to the neighbors. There is no loud noise permitted after dusk on the island.

16. The Lead booker for The House and Cottage must be over 28 years of age and present during the dates of the rental period.

1. Enter the 10-digit Access Code. Each digit must be entered within 10 seconds. 

2. After hearing the ascending tone and while the [SCHLAGE] oval button flashing green light , open the door.

CREATE YOUR OWN 3 - 6 DIGIT PERSONALIZED CODE:

1. Choose a 3-6 digit Personalized Code to use during your stay.

2. Enter the above 10-digit Access Code.

3. After hearing the ascending tone and while the [SCHLAGE] oval button flashing green light, immediately (within 10 seconds) press the [SCHLAGE] oval button and key-in the 3-6 digit Personalized Code of your choice, then press the [SCHLAGE] oval button to finalize your own Personalized code.

a. Each digit must be entered within 10 seconds. 
b. If your Personalized Code has been used by other user, you will hear the descending tone and see the [SCHLAGE] oval button flashing red. In this case, please try a new Personalized Code.

Our guests are always able to either contact us or our facilities managers. This ensures that there is always someone in Clearwater if needed.
Neighborhood overview
We fell in love with the North Beach neighborhood over twenty years ago. It is a calm and safe residential area away from the hustle and bustle but still just a mile away from buzzing Clearwater Beach. The beach walk north to secluded Caladesi Island is one of the highlights of Clearwater that many tourists miss. Enjoy one of Florida's top voted beaches just 32 steps from your door!
Getting around
It is easy to get around the beach with the Jolly Trolley. Look for the sun signs that mark the pick up places. From our home it is a 2 minutes walk to the next bus stop. The trolleys run until midnight.
